This US Navy Vought F-8 CRUSADER jet fighter, by me, is, to me, worthy of a "Peter's Picks" selection for a combination of these reasons: 1) It is 100% clutter free--no distractions; 2) it is an excellent representation of what I call "complex simplicity", meaning, it is simple in its presentation, albeit in a subtle, complex way, namely, all distracting fire bottles, etc., were removed, first, to "clean up" the picture, plus, a most pleasing angle was chosen that is well suited for this particular jet fighter; 3) it is an arty or artistic type modest wide-angle picture with excellent depth of field; 4) the angle of the plane leads one's eye into the frame; and 5) the moderate amount of clouds are a lovely bonus and accent. -- Peter Mancus
